Clinical Rotations Program

The UC School of Medicine Clinical Rotations Program will resume just for April, May, June and July 2021.

Important: 

  1. Applications may be cancelled if conditions are not suitable for international mobility.
  2. Accepted applicants shall arrive 14 days prior to the beginning of the rotation, for preventive quarantine.
  3. PCR test will be required before departure from home country and upon the arrival to Chile.
  4. Health insurance must include COVID-19 coverage.

  1. 1 October – 28 November 2020 | April, May, June, July 2021.

Undergraduate students interested in participating in the clinical rotations program are encouraged to apply according to the procedures and requirements indicated.

Applications are twice a year and are to be completed exclusively through the online application form.

All prospective students must be in the lasts two years of their medical school program to be considered (clerkships and clinical rotations period).

Student’s Home Institution has a Specific Exchange Agreement with UC’s School of Medicine.

NOTE: If the student or the Home University is doubtful about the existence of an agreement, may contact the School of Medicine International Office. Application Fee & Tuition Fee are non-refundable

 

COVID-19 SITUATION

As you may be aware, given the current circumstances with COVID-19 pandemic, UC School of Medicine has determined the following safety and sanitary indications:

  1. Applications may be cancelled if conditions are not suitable for international mobility.
  2. Accepted applicants shall arrive at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the rotation, for mandatory preventive quarantine.
  3. Accepted applicants shall take a SARS-CoV-2 PCR test within 72 hrs of arrival to Chile and show the result before the beginning of the rotation.
  4. Health insurance must include COVID-19 coverage.
  5. All international visitor at UC shall complete the following UC Tracing Form. This form shall be filled daily before arrive to UC Campuses: 
    1. In case of any symptoms or clinical situation, visitors must inform the International Cooperation Office & Academic Tutor at Host Department.
    2. All visitors must contact their insurance company to know about the medical facilities where the insurance will work.

  7. Chilean Government Regulations:
    1. Chilean Ministry of Health requires a negative PCR taken within 72 hrs before departure the country of origin.
