Clinical Rotations Program

Applications open all year round!

Please make sure you apply between 4 to 6 months before your desired rotation start date.

At UC|Chile, we welcome students from all other the world to partake in our clinical rotation program. The aim of the program is that students can have hands-on experience, learn about the Chilean health system and profile, and develop clinical abilities of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment according to the patient’s medical requirements within specific specialties.
Applications are open all year round but must be sent at least 4 months before the chosen start date and are to be completed exclusively through the online application form.
At the time of arrival, all prospective students must be in the last year of their medical school program in order to be considered (clerkships and clinical rotations period). They must have completed at least 1 month of clinical rotation or clerkship in their home country before the start of their rotation in UC|Chile.

En UC|Chile recibimos estudiantes de todo el mundo para participar en nuestro programa de rotaciones clínicas. La meta de este es que los y las estudiantes ganen experiencias mediante la participación, aprenden del sistema y perfil de salud Chileno, y desarrollen habilidades de evaluación, diagnóstico y tratamiento según los requerimientos médicos del paciente de las distintas especialidades.
Las postulaciones se encuentran abiertas todo el año, pero deben ser enviadas al menos 4 meses antes de la fecha de inicio electa. La postulación debe ser completada exclusivamente mediante el formulario de aplicación online.
Al momento de la llegada, todo postulante debe estar en su último año de formación médica para ser considerado. Deben haber completado al menos 1 mes de rotación clínica en su país de origen para ser considerados.
Si no está en su último año de estudio, por favor diríjase a la sección de oyente clínico IFMSA o estadías de investigación para pregrado.

Situation	Tuition Status
Student’s Home Institution has a Specific Exchange Agreement with UC’s School of Medicine.	Student Exempted from Tuition Payment Administrative Fee mandatory
Student is participating within the IFMSA-Chile program, Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group or ECFMG GEMx Network.
Student’s Home Institution does not have a Specific Agreement or through IFMSA-Chile, U21 Health Science or ECFMG GEMx Network.	Student Liable for Payment of Tuition Fee according to the length of the rotation. Length up to 8 weeks: 600 USD. Rotations up to 12 weeks: 750 USD. Rotations of up to 16 weeks: 900 USD. Administrative Fee mandatory (120 USD).

NOTE: If the student or the Home University is doubtful about the existence of an agreement, may contact the School of Medicine International Office. Application Fee & Tuition Fee are non-refundable

La casa de estudios del estudiante tiene un acuerdo específico de intercambios con la Escuela de Medicina UC.	Estudiante exento de pagos de mensualidad. Cobro administrativo obligatorio (120 USD).
El estudiante está participando dentro del programa IFMSA-Chile, Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group o ECFMG GEMx Network.
La casa de estudios del estudiante no posee un acuerdo específico de intercambios, ni tampoco participa de IFMSA-Chile, U21 Health Science o ECFMG GEMx Network.	Estudiante responsable de pago de mensualidad, con tarifa acorde al largo de su estadía. Estadía de hasta 8 semanas: 600 USD. Rotaciones de hasta 12 semanas: 750 USD. Rotaciones de hasta 16 semanas: 900 USD. Cobro obligatorio administrativo (120 USD).
