At UC|Chile, we welcome medical students of year 3 to 5 from IFMSA associated universities to partake in our clinical observership program.

The aim of the program is that students can learn about the Chilean health system and profile, and develop clinical abilities within specific specialties. All students must have at least Upper Intermediate (B2) Spanish.

All students must be first apply via IFMSA and have been pre-selected and assigned to UC|Chile before completing the application process here. For more information, please visit your home IFMSA website or https://ifmsa.org/student-exchange-program/

En UC|Chile damos la bienvenida a los estudiantes de medicina de tercero a quinto año de las universidades asociadas a la IFMSA para que participen en nuestro programa de observación clínica. 

El objetivo del programa es que los estudiantes puedan conocer el sistema y perfil de salud chileno y desarrollar habilidades clínicas dentro de especialidades específicas. Todos los estudiantes deben tener al menos un nivel intermedio alto (B2) de español.

COVID-19 SITUATION

As you may be aware, given the current circumstances with COVID-19 pandemic, UC School of Medicine has determined the following safety and sanitary indications:

  1. Applications may be cancelled if conditions are not suitable for international mobility.
  2. Accepted applicants will need to comply with the travel restrictions, testing and quarantine measures as indicated by the Chilean Health Authorities. The International Office will update accepted applicants on the measures as the date of their rotation approaches.
  3. Health insurance must include COVID-19 coverage.
  4. All international visitor at UC shall complete the following UC Tracing Form. This form shall be filled daily before arrive to UC Campuses: 
    1. In case of any symptoms or clinical situation, visitors must inform the International Cooperation Office & Academic Tutor at Host Department.
    2. All visitors must contact their insurance company to know about the medical facilities where the insurance will work.
