El propósito del Proyecto de Vigilancia de Virus Respiratorios es entregar «información actualizada de los virus respiratorios circulantes en Santiago y Osorno», que pueda ser útil para los médicos en su práctica clínica, el personal de salud y público general.

La circulación de SARS-CoV-2 se encuentra estable y se mantiene elevada. La positividad aumentó al 8% (84/1141). Desglosado por centro, la positividad de Clínica Alemana aumentó a 8%, la UC disminuyó a 8% y el Lucio Córdova aumentó a 9%
En esta semana se estudiaron 1660 muestras para los virus tradicionales, menos que la semana anterior. Observamos que continúa el retroceso del brote primaveral de influenza A, aunque su circulación aún se mantiene elevada y la positividad estable en 20%. Bastante más atrás le siguen parainfluenza, adenovirus que experimentaron un leve aumento en esta semana. Los otros virus mostraron una disminución siendo muy baja la circulación de metaneumovirus y VRS. La positividad total disminuyó a 22% (367/1660)
Se estudiaron 1034 muestras para los virus no tradicionales, observándose un descenso leve de todos ellos. Rino/enterovirus se mantiene como virus predominante. La positividad de estos virus disminuyó a 42% (438/1034)
En Osorno se observó un aumento leve de SARS-CoV-2 y enterovirus mientras que la circulación de influenza A y rinovirus disminuyeron esta semana. La positividad aumentó a 59% (96/163)
La información de síndromes respiratorios corresponde a 2 Centros Centinelas. La proporción de todas las consultas respiratorias disminuyeron a 2,5% del total de consultas. Esta disminución está dada principalmente por la disminución en las consultas por ETI que bajaron a 1,4% en concordancia con el retroceso del brote primaveral de influenza A. Las consultas por SBO disminuyeron a 0,5%, las por laringitis a 0,5% y las por Fiebre faringoconjuntival se mantienen en 0%

This week, 1660 samples were studied for traditional viruses, less than the previous week. We observe that the decline of the spring outbreak of influenza A continues, although its circulation still remains high and positivity stable at 20%. Far behind it is followed by parainfluenza, an adenovirus that experienced a slight increase this week. The other viruses showed a decrease with very low circulation of metapneumovirus and RSV. Total positivity decreased to 22% (367/1660)
A total of 1034 samples were studied for non-traditional viruses, with a slight decrease in all of them. Rhino/enterovirus remains the predominant virus. The positivity of these viruses decreased to 42% (438/1034)
In Osorno, a slight increase in SARS-CoV-2 and enteroviruses was observed, while the circulation of influenza A and rhinovirus decreased this week. Positivity increased to 59% (96/163)
The information on respiratory syndromes corresponds to 2 Sentinel Centers. The proportion of all respiratory consultations decreased to 2.5% of total consultations. This decrease is mainly due to the decrease in consultations for ILI, which fell to 1.4% in accordance with the decline of the spring outbreak of influenza A. Consultations for acute obstructive bronchitis decreased to 0.5%, those for laryngitis to 0.5%, and those for pharyngoconjunctival fever remained at 0%
